An entity putting batteries or accumulators on the market is an entrepreneur who:

conducts business activity involving putting batteries or accumulators on the market for the first time within the territory of the country, including the batteries or accumulators installed in equipment or vehicles
conducts activity involving import or intra-Community purchase of batteries and accumulators for the purpose of its business activity
has commissioned the manufacture of batteries or accumulators and has its trademark placed on the batteries and accumulators

As an intermediary, REMONDIS Electrorecycling performs obligations of a Marketing Entity resulting from the Batteries and Accumulators Act:

to organise the collection, treatment, recycling and disposal of waste batteries and waste accumulators and proper management of waste batteries and waste accumulators
to enter into the statutorily required agreements with the collecting entities and the treatment plant
to achieve the required collection levels of waste batteries and accumulators
to prepare reports statutorily required from Entities putting batteries and accumulators on the market
to organise public educational campaigns
to provide substantive support as regards BDO registration and regulations related to the obligations imposed on the Marketing Entity
